Days 1-3: Fly into Edinburgh, rest for awhile or meander the Royal Mile before our meet and greet to toast our journey. Our coach picks us up for the Borders, a rich and beautiful area of Scotland. We’ll begin with a stop at Abbotsford House and gardens, the 19th Century Home of Sir Walter Scott. Then we continue on to Peebles, a stunning village on the River Tweed. This will be our home for three nights while we experience stunning landscapes with rich history and visit ancient ruins, then listen to great music in the evenings. Our hotel home will be Peebles Hydro Hotel.
Day 4-6: Next, our travels will take us north to Nairn, a lovely seaside village in the Highlands. While in Nairn, we’ll visit Cawdor Castle, explore Rait castle ruins, and enjoy walks on the beach right outside our door and great music in the evenings. Our hotel home will be Invernairne Guest House.
Day 7-8: We travel to Dunkeld, the heart of Scotland, where we’ll take a day trip to Stirling to explore the tales of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. We’ll walk through Birnam Wood, made famous in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, hike the Birks of Aberfeldy, and soak up this enchanting village. We’ll host a group dinner and concert the first night and enjoy more music during our time here. Our three night home in Dunkeld will be Tay House.
Day 9: We journey back to Edinburgh, with a scenic village lunch stop along the way. In the evening, we’ll gather for our farewell dinner at Radisson Blu to share favorite memories and maybe a song or two.
